WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

A Place to Explore, Create & Grow

Green Thumb Club is a casual, fun afterschool program designed to get kids off the couch and into the garden. Each Friday session is hands-on and activity-based — exploring what it means to grow food, care for animals, make things with their hands, and take care of themselves and the planet.

No experience needed. No pressure. Just curious kids, fresh air, and good dirt.

Real Responsibility

Junior Leaders help run activities, assist farm educators, and support younger participants throughout each session.

Volunteer Hours

All time counts toward school community service requirements.

Leadership Training

Participants receive light training in facilitation, farm safety, and working with younger children.

Open to Ages 14+

Middle and high schoolers welcome. No prior farm experience required!

Junior Farm Leaders

Got a motivated middle or high schooler who loved the farm? We're building a Junior Farm Leaders program where older kids (ages 11+) come back as helpers, mentors, and co-facilitators for Green Makers sessions.

It's a great way for teens to build leadership skills, earn volunteer hours, and deepen their connection to the farm — while being genuinely awesome role models for the younger kids.
