Craig Sands

Craig is a graduate student in Food Systems at the University of Vermont, specializing in pollination services and native bee biodiversity in agroecological landscapes. Outside of working with pollinators, he is the director of Rally Cat’s Cupboard, a nonprofit dedicated to addressing food insecurity challenges within the UVM community. He hopes to research the interconnections between food sovereignty of small-scale farmers and pollinator conservation. Between 2022-2024, he served a volunteer at SLP helping to establish the farm’s pollinator garden.

Georgea Snyder

Georgea brings over a decade of experience in community engagement, food systems education, and nonprofit leadership. She is passionate about using the garden as a space for connection, creativity, and healing. You can usually find her in black chore boots, a sunhat, and a smile, always ready to welcome someone new to the farm.

Claudia Adrien

Claudia Adrien is a SLP board member and Tampa-based journalist who focuses on health and nutrition. Her reporting has appeared in Newsweek, Science Daily, Nutraingredients-USA, the Discovery Channel, Deutsche Welle, Current TV, New York Times regional newspapers and Homeland Preparedness News. Claudia has covered a variety of topics including the microbiome, ramifications of climate change in the Caribbean, the science behind infectious disease spread, and the effects of the international coffee trade on Latin America. She holds a degree in journalism from the University of Florida.
